Executive Committee
What does the Executive Committee do?
Elected members of the Executive Committee manage the day-to-day running of the Henley College Students’ Union. This includes: -
- promoting the general welfare of students and the life and work of the College;
- encouraging student social activities, clubs and societies;
- organising social events, working for charities;
- representing the student viewpoint on a wide range of college committees,
e.g. the Governing Body;
- campaigning on issues that directly affect students.
How much time will this take?
The Executive Committee meets for about one hour every week, and you will need to be able to afford extra time in order to make the Students’ Union a success.
Serving on the committee does count as an Enrichment option, and this activity will look very good on your CV or UCAS application form! However, this is not the only reason to stand. You must want to put effort in and make a difference to the college.
There are eight posts on the present committee:
- President
- Vice President
- Treasurer
- Publicity
- 1st Entertainments
- 2nd Entertainments
- Secretary
- Charities
