Books and Magazines
The Library has a good stock of books and magazines to support the subjects taught in College. It also has fiction, recreational reading, daily and local newspapers.
In addition to the magazines in the library, the College has subscriptions to several online magazines including The Economist, Art Monthly and Nursery World. For further information please see the Library staff.
Video Cassettes / DVDs
The library has a growing collection of videos, DVDs, CDs and audio cassettes. Video, DVD and audio playing equipment is available for your use.
Computers / IT
There are several computers available for you to use in the library for word processing and printing out your completed documents, and for accessing the Internet.
You can also use CD ROMS from which you can access information, for example, encyclopedias and art databases.
The Library has a computerised catalogue, which is now available via the Internet to look up all the material held by the Library.

Study Areas
There are two study areas within the library. One is a silent area, and the other is a quiet study area where an occasional whisper is allowed.
Please remember to respect others when in the Library and try not to disturb students who are working.
Pathways Corner
September 2004 saw the opening of the new, specially designed Pathways Corner in the College Library. The project was a collaboration of the 2003-2004 students on the Pathways and BTEC National in Art, Year 1.
The corner has a jungle theme, and contains easier reading books on coloured shelving, a textile screen, stained glass effect ceiling panel, wall mounted tiles produced by both groups of students and a blue table decorated with water lilies and fish.

The Library is run by a friendly team of staff who are managed by Karen Broadbent, Senior Librarian.
The staff can assist you with any aspect of the library learning resources. If you are unable to find what you are looking for they may be able to order certain resources for you.
