Student Ambassadors

Shirley Jenkins Pandya
The role of the ambassadors is to encourage students ending compulsory education to move onto sixth form learning, particularly at the College Open Evenings where they talk to prospective students and parents in order to help them make informed choices. Sometimes they go into local schools to talk about College life and give a student perspective.

This role offers opportunities for leadership and the development of public relation skills. Our ambassadors give a very positive view of the College to the public and play a valuable part in College life, often being used to liaise with senior staff and other colleges on student issues. The student ambassadors are all volunteers and have come from many curriculum areas, both academic and vocational.
