Director of Finance and Resources

Required June 2015

The Henley College is a highly popular and successful Sixth Form College in the heart of the Thames Valley. We are seeking to appoint a Director of Finance and Resources who will ensure the Corporation operates within its powers, follows agreed and proper financial procedures and puts in place an ambitious financial strategy while ensuring effective on-going financial control. The post holder will have a strong track record in financial planning and control at a senior level. The Director of Finance and Resources will report to the Principal and must be committed to the College Equality, Diversity, Inclusion and Safeguarding values.

This is a full time position at Senior Leadership Team level. Salary up to £56,832 per annum.

Part-time Tutors: Leisure Courses

We are seeking part time tutors for 2015/16 in the following areas:

  • Mandarin Language
  • Portuguese Language
  • Event Planning
  • Food Safety both Level 2 and 3
  • RHS
  • Calligraphy
  • Web Design
  • Accountancy
  • Crochet/Knitting
  • Jewellery Making
  • Watercolour Painting

And Fitness, Dance and Exercise teachers including:

  • Ballroom and Latin
  • Dance
  • Pilates
  • Yoga
  • Or any other form of exercise class

You must be able to show an in-depth knowledge of your subject area. You will be required to have a current DBS enhanced disclosure for all classes that have students enrolled who are aged 18 and under.

Courses are held on a Monday/Wednesday evening, or during the day on a Saturday.                      

Tutor rate: up to £20.46 per hour.

Assessor / Internal Quality Assurer / Trainer

The Henley College are looking for part time specialists who can Assess/IQA/Teach work-based qualifications in the following occupational areas:

  • Manufacturing Engineering

The successful candidates will hold D32/D33/A1 (for assessors) D34/ V1 (for IQA) or equivalent.

Playworkers

The HENLEY College is looking to build a bank of qualified and unqualified playworkers for their new and successful holiday club. Applicants will be expected to set up, plan, organise and supervise play opportunities for children aged 5 to 12.

You will work as part of a team to ensure children can experiment and learn about themselves and the world around them, through play. You will arrange activities such as team games, sports, drama, music, arts and crafts activities, and in some cases take children on day trips and outings. It will also be part of the job to encourage good behaviour in the children and deal with any challenging behaviour.

The hours will be 8am to 6pm daily and on a part-time or full-time basis, rates of pay are:

Qualified and experienced supervisor £10.00ph
Qualified and experienced to level 3 £7.50ph
Qualified and experienced to level 2 £6.50ph
Unqualified/Inexperienced National minimum wage (training will be given)
