Part-time Library and Learning Resource Centre Assistant

Required November 2014

An assistant is required to work in the College Library and Student Learning Centres.

The hours of work are Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 8.00am – 4:30 pm and Wednesday 8:00am to 3pm. (28.5 hours per week)
The post is term time only.
Salary up to £18,270 (pro rata) per annum.

Part-time Art and Design Technician

Required November 2014

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed person to help with technician duties in our Art department. The successful candidate will assist with the maintenance of the art studios, the running of the art shop, setting up exhibitions, setting up rooms for classes, ordering items for the departments and assisting with the movement of materials.
Hours of work: 14.5 hours per week, for 40 weeks per year. Hours are Monday, 8:30 am – 5pm and Friday, 8:30 am – 4:30 pm.
Salary up to £18,270 (pro rata) per annum.

Teacher of English 1.0fte

Required from 3 November 2014

We wish to appoint an energetic and enthusiastic Teacher of English for this very popular subject. Courses are well established and successful and we are looking for a teacher who can deliver AS/A2 courses (Language/Literature) as well as teach GCSE/IGCSE classes and Functional Skills.

We invite applications from suitably qualified candidates who are able to motivate students and are creative in the use of resources and teaching strategies.

The salary will be on the Sixth Form Colleges' Main Teachers' Pay Spine up to £36,642 per annum, which includes PSP payments (pro rata for Part Time Teachers).

Playworkers

The HENLEY College is looking to build a bank of qualified and unqualified playworkers for their new and successful holiday club. Applicants will be expected to set up, plan, organise and supervise play opportunities for children aged 5 to 12.

You will work as part of a team to ensure children can experiment and learn about themselves and the world around them, through play. You will arrange activities such as team games, sports, drama, music, arts and crafts activities, and in some cases take children on day trips and outings. It will also be part of the job to encourage good behaviour in the children and deal with any challenging behaviour.

The hours will be 8am to 6pm daily and on a part-time or full-time basis, rates of pay are:

Qualified and experienced supervisor £10.00ph
Qualified and experienced to level 3 £7.50ph
Qualified and experienced to level 2 £6.50ph
Unqualified/Inexperienced National minimum wage (training will be given)
