Work-Based Learning Coordinator


Henley College Training are looking to recruit work-based learning and apprenticeship experts to work in the following areas:

  • Assess and IQA in the following qualifications:
    Business Administration, Team Leading, Management, Customer Service, TAQA units.
  • Reviewing health and safety checks on work placements
  • Interviewing potential apprentices
  • Placing potential apprentices with employers

This could be one full time position or a job share. Successful candidates will be qualified to A2/V1 or equivalent for assessing and IQA role.

Salary up to £26,067 (pro-rata) depending on qualifications and experience.

Must have daily use of a car for Assessing and health and safety reviewing as apprentices are placed throughout the county
Completed application forms should be returned to the Personnel Administration by Friday 16th May 2014, no later than 4.00pm.

Academic Part Time Teachers

We are currently seeking part-time teachers in the following academic areas:

  • AS/A Levels English
  • Human Resources
  • Functional Skills – Maths, English and ICT

You must be a qualified teacher and have relevant experience in your field.

Courses are primarily run in the evenings, however we can hold classes during the day, subject to demand.

Teaching rate: £20.46 for non-accredited courses or £27.79 for accredited courses.

Part Time Tutors – Leisure Courses

Due to expansion, we are currently seeking part-time tutors for leisure courses in the following areas:

  • Zumba
  • Ballroom Dancing (adults and children)
  • Geneology
  • RHS Certificate in the Principles of Plant Growth, Propagation and Development
  • Cooking
  • Sugarcraft
  • Arts and Crafts
  • Knitting
  • Motor Vehicle Maintenance for Females
  • Java Programming

This list is not exhaustive, so if you have a skill you would like to share please let us know.

You must be able to show an in-depth knowledge of your subject area. You are required to have a current DBS enhanced disclosure for all classes that have students enrolled who are aged 18 and under.

Courses are primarily run in the evenings, however we can hold classes during the day subject to demand.

Tutor rate: up to £20.46. Dance and Fitness – rates upon application.

Playworkers

The HENLEY College is looking to build a bank of qualified and unqualified playworkers for their new and successful holiday club. Applicants will be expected to set up, plan, organise and supervise play opportunities for children aged 5 to 12.

You will work as part of a team to ensure children can experiment and learn about themselves and the world around them, through play. You will arrange activities such as team games, sports, drama, music, arts and crafts activities, and in some cases take children on day trips and outings. It will also be part of the job to encourage good behavior in the children and deal with any challenging behavior.

The hours will be 8am to 6pm daily and on a part-time or full-time basis, rates of pay are:

Qualified and experienced supervisor £10.00ph
Qualified and experienced to level 3 £7.50ph
Qualified and experienced to level 2 £6.50ph
Unqualified/Inexperienced National minimum wage (training will be given)
