Study Leave and Examinations

It is compulsory that first year students attend A2 classes, which start on 7 June. Students will not be allowed to continue with A2 subjects in September if they fail to attend the lessons in June and July.

A2 students: Teaching ends Friday 28 May (unless there are special arrangements with your subject tutors). Examination study leave is from 7 June to the end of term.

All Vocational Courses and IB continue as normal.

It is the student's responsibility to be present, prepared, on time, at the right place and on the right day for the appropriate examination. If there are problems, please contact the Examinations Officer immediately. If students fail to attend any examination without a valid reason, they will be invoiced for the full examination fee.

Results dates and procedures:

All students are issued with a green information leaflet, which gives details of leaving procedures and notification of results. A and AS Level results are published on 19th August. They will be posted to students by first class post unless the student wishes to pick up the results envelope personally between 10.30 am and 12 noon. Students are asked to bring their candidate number with them when they collect their results. If a parent wishes to collect the results on behalf of the student, the student must provide written authorisation.

The IB results will be available in College on Monday 5 July at 3.30 pm in D134 when staff will also be available in D134 for advice. IB results will be available online on Tuesday 6 July at www.ibo.org after 3 pm. A personal pin number for access will be issued in tutorial.

GCSE results will be posted first class on Tuesday 24 August, and will not be available for collection at the College. BTEC certificates will be posted as soon as received from the Exam Board.
