Double Mathematics A Level

You will gain a deeper understanding and broader knowledge of Mathematics than is provided by the single subject syllabus. This can prove very useful if you wish to go on to study a Mathematics-related subject at degree level or to study Physics, Engineering or Economics (in some cases Double Mathematics is a requirement of such courses).

In year 1 the full A2 Mathematics syllabus is covered and in year 2 A2 Further Mathematics is studied. Further Mathematics modules include both Core and Applied units e.g. Further Pure 1 and 2, Statistics and Mechanics 2 and Numerical Methods. Assessment is by module exams which are taken in January and June. There is a small element of coursework for some units.
