Chemistry AS/A Level

With an A Level in Chemistry you can go on to Higher Education to study Chemistry, or one of the other sciences or related subjects, or work in a science based industry such as chemical engineering, materials science or biotechnology. Chemistry is essential for entry into medicine, dentistry, pharmacy and environmental science.

This is a modular course leading to AS and A Levels.

In the first year you will work towards the AS qualification and take three modules:

  • Atoms, Bonds and Groups
  • Chains, Energy and Resources
  • Practical Skills 1

In the second year you will study three more modules:

  • Rings, Polymers and Analysis
  • Equilibrium, Energetics and Elements
  • Practical Skills 2

Entry Requirements:
Minimum of 44 points to include GCSE Grade B in Chemistry or BB in GCSE Science and Additional Science. more..
