RYA Coastal and Yachtmaster Offshore

This course covers the Royal Yachting Association shore-based syllabus and is intended for those holding a Dayskipper qualification or equivalent. It includes offshore and coastal navigation, pilotage, meteorology and passage planning and the use of electronic navigational aids to an advanced level. Enrolment fees cover the cost of the course materials but students will need a plotter, pair of dividers and a current copy of the Practice Navigation Tables. They are also recommended to acquire copies of the International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea (IRPCS) and NP5011 Chart Symbols and Abbreviations.

Please note that successful completion of this qualification depends on a minimum of 70% attendance, continuous assessment and an end of course written exam.
