COLLEGE CHARTER
Our Charter lists our commitments to you. We aim to provide a high quality service in all that we do. When you enrol at The HENLEY College you will sign a contract setting out your obligations as a student and our commitments to you as a College. We also have a complaints procedure.
EQUALITY AND DIVERSITY
The HENLEY College is committed to promoting an educational environment and vocational training environment which actively promotes equality of opportunity and freedom from discrimination on grounds of age, class, course, subject or training area, cultural or ethnic origin, disability, gender, marital status, nationality, religion, belief, and sexual orientation in every respect of College life and associated training activities.
LEARNING DIFFICULTIES AND DISABILITIES
The college aims to provide a welcoming and supportive atmosphere for all our students. We welcome the new legislation regarding supporting students with a disability and are actively taking measures to ensure the needs of disabled students are met. The college aims to provide facilities that are as accessible as possible in which to pursue educational activities.
Please let us know if you have a learning difficulty, disability or medical condition you think we should be aware of, by ticking the relevant boxes on the enrolment form.
NO SMOKING
The College is a smoke-free zone: smoking is not permitted anywhere on the College sites.
LOCAL COMMUNITY GROUPS
Many local community groups use the premises and facilities at the College for their meetings and activities. For further details of the scheme please contact the Finance Department on 01491 579988 ext 4053
SEVERE WEATHER CLOSURE
In the event of severe weather (usually snow and ice), which may affect the safety of staff and students on site, the College will make a decision over possible closure. If this happens during the day students will be notified wherever possible, but if conditions develop overnight and staff are unable to get in to College then the local radio stations will be informed and a message will be left on the College switchboard (01491 579988/01491 634000).
See the Severe Weather page for details of the radio stations.
Please check with the College switchboard before starting your journey.
