WORK EXPERIENCE EXCHANGE - Henley College / Montpellier 2003

A group of students studying French A Level and IB at the Henley College completed the return trip of the Work Experience Exchange with the Lycée Mas de Tesse in Montpellier in the south of France. The students attended work placements for one week in shops, bars, and new for this year, the Red Cross, where serving breakfast to the homeless was the highlight of the day for IB student Selina Steffen.
The weather was scorching hot and at the weekend the students were able to make the most of the beaches and other tourist attractions of the region.Their exchange partners visited the UK earlier in the year, attending placements in and around Henley including Regatta HQ, the River and Rowing Museum, the Tourist Information Centre, Rupert House School and various shops and businesses.

"This is a fantastic opportunity for young people to broaden their skills and their horizons, and it also helps the College and the Lycée to strengthen links with local employers", said Sue Bingham, Head of French at The HENLEY College, who has now been running the exchange for 10 years.
