About Apprenticeships

Apprenticeships are funded by the government through the Skills Funding Agency (SFA).

The Henley Training Company is contracted by the SFA to provide training in the following vocational areas: Business Administration, Customer Service, Early Years Care and Education, Hairdressing, Professional Cookery, Management, Team Leading.

The Apprenticeship Programme is available to young people from 16 - 24 years of age. The programme is designed to reflect the training needs of the individual learner. On average programmes take 1 - 2 years to complete.

As a learner you can gain NVQ, Functional Skills and Technical Certificate qualifications in a practical way whilst working. You will be training whilst in paid employment and will have the opportunity to achieve a nationally recognised qualification in your chosen vocational area.

Training is delivered through a combination of both on and off the job training. Training is delivered either at monthly workshops at The HENLEY College, or in the workplace as appropriate. The remainder of your training takes place in the workplace with regular visits from assessors. Training is not tied to the academic year; you can start the programme at any time. College holidays do not apply.

For application details, please contact The Henley Training Company at The HENLEY College, on 01491 634167. Offers of places on Apprenticeship programmes are subject to satisfactory interview and employment arrangements.
