Care and Health Studies

These full time courses are taught in new modern classrooms and give the opportunity to combine theory with real experience gained on your work placement.

Children's Care Learning & Development (CCLD)
Level 2 (one year) offers an excellent starting point for those wanting to work with children. You can progress on to the Extended Diploma course, and will have the opportunity to do numeracy and communication key skills.

The Children's Care Learning & Development (CCLD) Extended Diploma is a two year course leading to a professional qualification in childcare. Students from this course successfully go into employment or on to Higher Education.

A Level Health and Social Care (two years) examines the factors that contribute to good and bad health, disease, the provision of health and care services, the role of the practitioner and good care practice.

The Health and Social Care Extended Diploma provides an excellent preparation for further professional qualifications in the Health and Caring area. Students can go on to nursing diploma/degree, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, teaching, social work, and a variety of other higher education degree courses.

The Health and Social Care Level 2 is a one year course that is a practical, work-related course which offers an excellent starting point for those who want to work in the health and social care field.
