Performing Arts: Level 2 Diploma
Many students leave school with an interest in the performing arts and yet have little experience or understanding of the wide range of skills and ability required to be a performer or member of a production crew.
The Level 2 Diploma in Performing Arts is a one year course designed to introduce the student to the demands of working within the performing arts industry.
The Level 2 Diploma provides students with the opportunity to experience at a foundation level drama, dance and stagecraft. It is of a highly practical nature. The course requires students who are enthusiastic and keen to work in a group environment. The course also provides opportunities for students to develop their own performance skills, culminating in a production at the end of the year.
The course enables students to decide if they wish to pursue their interest in the performing arts and continue their studies further.
The course will culminate in a three night run of a play in the Studio Theatre to a public audience.
