Why study vocational or A Level art?
The choice of art courses at The HENLEY College enables students to choose the best programme of study to suit their needs.
Vocational Arts
We offer three different vocational courses in Art, these are:
- Art and Design (National Diploma)
- Art and Design (First Diploma)
- Art and Design (Foundation Diploma)
Art & Design (National Diploma)
This is a two year course designed for students who would like to study Art and Design and on successful completion of the course will be able to continue their education through a BTEC Higher National Diploma or a Degree course.
Art & Design (First Diploma)
This course is for students who have made up their minds that Art and Design is the probable chosen career and would like an introduction to a variety of Art and Design practices before specialising in areas such as Fine Art, Sculpture, Textile Design, Graphic Design, etc.
Art and Design (Foundation Diploma)
This is a one-year post A Level course course that prepares you for progression to a greater and more in-depth understanding of Art and Design prior to application for higher education or employment.
A Levels
A Levels enable students to put together their own 'package' of AS and A Level qualifications. Students can choose subjects they already know and like as well as try out new subjects. The Art and Design AS and A Levels we can offer are:
