Instrument and Articles

The documents below set out the statutory rules governing the operation of The Henley College Corporation. The current Instrument and Articles came into effect on 1 January 2008 and were modified in April 2010 following the demise of the Learning and Skills Council (LSC) and its replacement by the Chief Executive of Skills Funding and also due to the renaming of the government “Department for Innovation, Universities and Skills” to become the “Department for Business, Innovation and Skills”. A further amendment to the Instrument and Articles came into effect in September 2010 when The Henley College was re-designated from a Further Education College to become a Sixth Form College. Apart from these minor changes to the wording, the GFE Instrument and Articles of Government 2008 remain the basis for the College’s governance.
