Come Together Community Festival
The Come Together Festival is a free community event that first took place in 2002. The driving force behind the event is to encourage people from Henley and the local area to come together in the spirit of fun and community. The last two years have been a great success, and planning for the third festival is underway.
An aim of the Come Together Festival is to provide residents and visitors to the town with 'fun for free' and to inspire them to try new activities through the workshops provided.
It also acts as a showcase for local talent as all bands and workshop leaders are sourced from the locality. All participants, from the organising committee to the bands and stewards give their skills and time for free.
Involving predominantly local talent means that those attending Come Together can easily continue attending a workshop they sampled at the event, or go and see their favourite band from Come Together perform again at a local venue after this event.
Come Together is organised and run by volunteers with no specialist event skills, and the committee is always open to new members and to receiving ad hoc help from other residents and businesses.
