The aims of Churches Together in Henley are:
-
To provide means of consultation between the churches
- To facilitate common witness to Jesus Christ by the member Churches
- To work and pray for Christian unity
Churches Together in Henley was inaugurated in December 1995. Member Churches are: St Mary the Virgin, St Nicholas, Remenham, Holy Trinity, St Margaret, Harpsden, Henley Baptist Church, Sacred Heart RC Church, Christ Church URC, Observer status: Society of Friends.
Meetings of the Forum
Members of the Churches meet together as a Forum about five times a year.
In addition, the Ministers of the churches meet regularly on a formal basis and have an Away Day each year during November.
Joint Activities
Joint activities during the year also include: the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity January; weekly lunchtime services during Lent; Walk of Witness on Good Friday; Sunrise service on the morning of Easter Day; Christian Aid Week house to house collection.
