What is a Traineeship?
The Traineeship is aimed at young people whose ultimate goal is to achieve paid employment with Apprenticeship training. They are the ideal course for those who are motivated to get a job however lack the skills and experience that employers are looking for.
As this programme has flexible delivery methods and is tailored to meet individual’s needs, outcomes of initial assessments will give the students the opportunity to participate in a variety of classes and activities to meet personal development targets, as well as attending work placements. It involves training in college 1 - 2 days per week and a work placement for 2 - 3 days per week to improve your chances of future employment.
Traineeships last anything from six weeks to a maximum of six months.
Work experience placements are unpaid however employers are encouraged to support expenses such as transport.

- L1 Award in Employability Skills
- Other courses relevant to business area such as Paediatric First Aid or Food Safety
