This qualification has been designed for those with more responsibilities in a school or college setting. It includes supporting mental health and wellbeing, working with those with additional needs or disabilities and implementing change through a small scale research project. Learners must complete 5 mandatory units to achieve the qualification.

Working with others to support individuals with additional needs and disability in a school or college setting
Working with families and other professionals in a school or college setting
Implementing change in school or college setting
Monthly college workshops and work-based supported learning
Those who have completed the Level 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning and have been working as a teaching assistant for some time with responsibility for coaching and mentoring team members.
