|Course:||FOUNDATION PROGRAMME: BRIDGE|
I came to The Henley College from Langtree School in Woodcote. I chose to study the Foundation Programme course to improve my Maths and English skills. After speaking to members of staff at the college I knew that I would be given the support I needed to achieve this. I found the teachers really helpful and working in a small group allowed me to learn at my own pace. I have enjoyed being more independent at college and have made new friends to add to those who came with me from school.
Although I enjoyed most of the course I found the history unit the most interesting. We learnt about capital punishment, the witchcraft trials and the Great War. Reading some of the letters sent home by the soldiers at the front line brought it alive for me. I also enjoyed researching my project on Winston Churchill and his legacy.
I would like to go on to study a vocational course at The Henley College such as Business and Tourism but I am also considering apprenticeship opportunities with Henley College Training Company.
