Intermediate Apprenticeship

in Marketing 

This Apprenticeship is for those who are just starting their career in marketing or those who would like to gain recognition of their current skills and experience whilst continuing to improve.  Covering areas such as research, digital marketing, social media, events, competitor activity, customer relationships and marketing campaigns this Apprenticeship will provide an all round marketing awareness.  Apprentices must complete 4 mandatory units and a selection of optional units to achieve the qualification.  The optional units are selected taking into consideration the job role being carried out by the apprentice.

 

Mandatory Units:
  • Collect and organise market research data
  • Contribute to measure the marketing response
  • Work with other people in a business environment
  • Improve own performance in a business environment
Duration: 13 months
Training:
  • One-off induction
  • Monthly college workshops and work-based supported learning
  • On-the-job assessments
  • Employer led work related skills training
Suitable For: Those starting a career in marketing in roles such as Marketing Assistant, Marketing Research Assistant or Junior Account Executive.
Qualification Includes:
  • Level 2 Certificate in Marketing
  • BTEC Level 2 Certificate in the Principles of Marketing
  • Functional Skills in Maths, English and ICT at Level 1 or 2 (depending on prior qualifications)
  • ERR (Employer Rights and Responsibilities)

 

Advanced Apprenticeship

in Marketing

The Advanced Apprenticeship is for those wishing to take the next step in their marketing career as apprentices will increase their skills and the knowledge required to progress.  It covers a range of roles within marketing and includes activities such as marketing promotions, advertising campaigns, social and digital media, contributing to marketing plans, planning and organising events and designing and producing business documents.  Apprentices must complete 4 mandatory units and a selection of optional units to achieve the qualification.  The optional units are selected taking into consideration the job role being carried out by the apprentice.

  • Analyse competitor activity
  • Contribute to the development of a marketing plan
  • Evaluate and improve own performance in a business environment
  • Working with other people in a business environment
Duration: 13 months
Training:

  • On-the-job assessments
  • Employer led work related skills training
Suitable For: Those who have been working in a marketing position for some time and are working with less supervision.
Qualification Includes:
  • Level 3 Diploma in Marketing
  • BTEC Level 3 Certificate in the Principles of Marketing
  • Functional Skills in English, Maths and ICT at Level 2 (depending on prior qualifications)
  • ERR (Employer Rights and Responsibilities)
