Student Support Assistant
Required for September 2018
We are looking to appoint a Student Support Assistant to work with a team of teaching and support staff concerned with students with learning difficulties, some of whom may have physical difficulties and/or require support with behaviour. The successful candidate will be a registered nurse with either Adult General or Learning Disability experience, with an awareness of the different syndromes relating to our students and a willingness to advise and help with the training of Pathways staff in nursing related matters. The candidate must be prepared to support students with a range of activities e.g. horse riding, swimming, literacy, numeracy, sensory, IT and work experience. You will also need to be experienced in helping students with their personal care.
This position is term time only and the hours are 8:30 – 4:30, Monday – Friday. The salary is up to £23,859 per annum (pro rata for part time positions).
